  • 1977 promoted to Sister, MIU
  • 1979? Promoted to Clinical Nurse Specialist, MIU
  • Remained at Birmingham Accident Hospital until the hospital closed 
  • Moved to the General Hospital then Selly Oak – Left in 1999
  • Founder of the British Association of Critical Care Nurses in the West Midlands
  • Original member of the Care Team and equipment manager for them for a number of years.
  • During the ambulance dispute in 1989-1990 committed many hours supporting patients in the pre-hospital environment
  • Maggie was a founding member of the ACCI Motorsport medical team in particular at the Lombard RAC Rally
  • Inspirational leader .. developed a strong cohort of dedicated nurses working within a robust team structure that produced remarkable outcomes.
  • Maggie was an excellent teacher much respected by student nurses and junior medical staff.
